In an article on sixty7 Architecture Road, Chernoff Thompson Architect’s summer student, James Bligh, highlights the key points in the successful rehabilitation of 564 Beatty Street, a prominent Vancouver heritage building located near the Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain Station.
In his article, James highlights the driving factors that helped contribute to the building’s new look and its impact on the city, from the juxtaposition of old and new to the showcase of sustainable design. James also notes that the rehabilitation of 564 Beatty Street may signal an “evolution of developers, city planners and design offices” that can transform Vancouver into “a truly vibrant city.”
