Emily Carr University and Applied Arts Partners Unveil New Campus Design

On the night of April 8, Emily Carr University of Art + Design and Applied Arts Partners unveiled the design of the new Emily Carr campus on Great Northern Way. The design received support from the City of Vancouver’s Urban Design Panel.

Designed by Vancouver-based Chernoff Thompson Architects and Toronto-based Diamond Schmitt Architects, the new Emily Carr campus plans to feature flexible, futuristic, and collaborative environments for students attending the university. The new campus intends to transform the area known as The Flats and connect East Vancouver to the rest of the city.

The official unveiling of the design will occur at the groundbreaking ceremony near the end of the month.
